Robert Bobich

Community Development Manager

Born and raised in San Pedro, CA, Robert is the youngest of seven children. His Croatian lineage extends to Rava where his father’s family originates and the Island of Vis, the birthplace of his mother. Robert attended Mary Star of the Sea and maintains a continued connection with the school today. He holds a Mass Communications degree from California State University Dominguez Hills.

Robert and his wife keep an active pace with four children; balancing work, school, sports and coaching. Their oldest child is preparing to graduate from high school as their youngest will enter kindergarten.

His diverse experience begins with his employment in the maritime industry working for companies providing tug boats to the large ships entering the harbor. Robert also spent time with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, a journalist for the Daily Breeze and as a self‐employed consultant.

Robert embraces every opportunity to attend outreach events, such as Chamber of Commerce gatherings, across the South Bay. He has a unique commitment to the community which helps create a synergy to enhance the experience at Green Hills.

Off the Clock

Robert recognizes the importance of giving back and quickly volunteers his free time to Holy Trinity Church and their food delivery assistance program for the homebound. His willingness to share his knowledge and years of experience can be seen on the sidelines of baseball fields, soccer fields or basketball courts inspiring the youth to embrace sports and healthy competition.

If asked where he most enjoys spending free time, Robert will tell you it’s on the Island of Kauai. But someday he hopes to visit his family’s homeland of Croatia to explore the beautiful Dalmatian coastline.
